An established base of buyers, recyclers and disposal partners across the major trade lanes, assessed for each individual cargo.
About Pommer & Partners
Pommer & Partners has been a known name in international cargo recovery, distressed cargo and insurance salvage for many years. Today, Pommer & Partners continues this tradition with a renewed worldwide focus.

Our approach
Pommer & Partners provides international solutions for cargo affected by transport damage, insurance claims, abandoned shipments and warehouse losses.
We combine technical understanding, international trading experience and a global network of buyers and recycling partners to maximize the remaining value of distressed goods.
Every cargo incident is unique. Our objective is to identify the best commercial outcome while ensuring professional handling throughout the entire process — from the first notification to the final reporting line.
Our History
Salvage Experience since 1952
Three Generations. Worldwide.
The Pommer family’s experience in the salvage business dates back to 1952, when the first generation began trading in salvage paper.
Klaus Pommer grew into the salvage business as the second generation, building extensive hands-on experience over the decades and expanding the family’s activities from salvage paper into the international trading and recovery of distressed and damaged cargoes.
Today, Pommer & Partners is entering its third generation, carrying forward more than seven decades of experience while combining traditional salvage expertise with an international network and a modern approach to cargo recovery, remarketing and salvage trading.

Our mission
To recover value from damaged, abandoned or distressed cargo through commercial remarketing, recycling or sustainable disposal.
Why choose Pommer & Partners
An established base of buyers, recyclers and disposal partners across the major trade lanes, assessed for each individual cargo.
Cargo incidents are time-critical. Files are opened and acknowledged as a priority.
International trading experience informs every commercial assessment, negotiation and placement.
Direct relationships with end users mean cargo can be bought or resold rather than passed along a broker chain.
Where resale is not viable, goods are routed through appropriately authorised recycling and disposal channels, subject to waste, environmental and cross-border rules.
Sensitive claims, branded goods and proprietary products are handled with strict discretion.
A single named contact per file. Clear updates. No surprises for any stakeholder.
Condition reports, commercial assessments and sale documentation, prepared in a format claims teams work with.
