Cargo coverage questions

Which Types of Distressed Cargo Can Be Recovered?

Pommer & Partners evaluates agricultural commodities, food and feed products, oils and fats, metals, chemicals, industrial materials and manufactured goods affected by damage, rejection or specification failure. Recovery depends on the actual product, its condition, documentation and a lawful outlet. A wet grain parcel, off-specification oil and damaged palletised goods require different evidence and buyers; the transport format alone does not establish commodity or regulatory classification.

Do You Handle Bulk, Breakbulk and Containerised Cargo?

Yes. Pommer & Partners assesses bulk cargo in vessel holds, breakbulk units, bagged or palletised consignments, containerised goods and liquids in tanks or flexitanks, including cargo held in warehouses. These describe presentation, transport or storage rather than commodity classification. Quantity, access, packaging integrity and handling requirements affect the practical recovery route: bulk grain may need segregated discharge, bags may need sorting, and tank parcels require sampling and compatible transfer arrangements.

Send the commodity and quantity alongside the format, current location, photographs and available survey evidence. Bonded or warehouse storage does not itself establish customs release or the holder's authority to sell.
